This is a tiny (1.5 inch) Trak Microwave
59.990 MHZ noncrystal oscillator. Supposedly noncrystal. This is a military surplus
item. They cost the military over $2,700 (and I have papers to prove
it). Unbelievable, I could make a similar sized item out of cast gold and
it would cost less. Makes you wonder what is inside, maybe rare metals
or something. Comes in original packaging. Item is new old stock.
Comes from a military
surplus lot related to F-16, so I guess it was maybe a part of a radar
or a beacon or ECM (electronic countermeasures) equipment.
