Gentlemen, for sale here is a 4 inch Wilton machinist/bullet vise with copper jaw covers. It was owned by a private individual of means, who used this vise sparingly in his spare time. I took a number of excellent pictures that amply illustrate the good condition of this vise. I think that he mostly used the copper jaws, which are in fair condition at best, and that preserved a GREAT condition of the steel jaws. I have never seen a vise in that good of a condition. Needless to say, I did NOT paint this vise. I just dusted it and cleaned it a little bit and added some fresh moly grease to the main screw. The paint on it is as received. I think that the previous owner painted the base of the vise gray for some reason.
As an owner of two Wilton bullet vises, I must say that there is NOTHING better than those vises, when it comes to grip, heft, longevity, and ease of maintenance. Nowadays, I look down on every other kind of vise.
