For sale is a Speedaire 2 HP horizontal compressor. It is powered by a single phase GE 2 Horsepower, 115/230V high torque motor. The motor has sealed ball bearings (no need for periodic lubrication) and built in thermal overload.
This is not a garbage "consumer unit" with a meaningless "peak horsepower" rating. It is a relatively quiet industrial compressor designed to run forever. It is a complete setup, all you need is plug it into 220V.

This compressor had been installed in a small factory that I helped liquidate, as a backup, and they did not use it much, if at all. They had a large 7.5 HP compressor that was theur workhorse. As you can see, the compressor is very clean. I did not wash it or paint it. There are no oil leaks from the pump. The pump is very slow turning and is designed to last forever, and is also easy to service.
The tank looks like an 80 gallon tank. There is no CFM rating, but I would estimate it to be perhaps 8 SCFM.
If you want to rewire your compressor for 115V, beware that the contactor and disconnect may need to be upgraded. Most people run these compressors from 220V, which is how it is currently wired.
