Sourdough Starter

This is a Russian sourdough starter that I use all the time to bake good tasting bread for my family. I believe that the best bread is made of only starter, flour, and salt. Adding stuff to it like nuts etc only makes it fancier but not better. Eating this bread is helpful to me because it leaves me feeling satiated without insulin related hunger pangs and sugar blues. Use of unbleached flour is recommended for health reasons but the bread from bleached enriched flour tastes just as good. You can use whole wheat flour to bake bread, but I would suggest using regular flour to feed the starter. It takes 4-5 minutes of your personal time to bake a loaf of bread. Flour costs $4.50 per 25 lbs at Sam's Club and Costco. A loaf of bread will end up costing you about 25 cents.
Testimony: Just made 2 loaves of Sourdough Rye! This starter is very active. I don't use a bread machine as I rather knead and form it the old way, It tastes very European.
The loaf shown below was made with 1 cup regular flour and 1 cup whole wheat flour. You can buy regular bleached flour in 25 lbs bags for $4.50 at Sam's Club and Costco. Assuming these prices, a loaf of sourdough bread costs you about $0.25.

I will mail you a letter with good quantity of dried starter. For local pickups , I will just pour you a reasonable quantity of starter to get you going. I can also email you the sourdough starter FAQ from rec.food.sourdough.

If you are not satisfied for any reason, I will refund you the entire amount you paid.
