Schneider Transit

UpUp

This transit comes in a nice hard carrying case and includes a level, and a tripod. Lenker L-E-VATION Rod. NIKON Tripod Surveyer mount.

After the Nikon-produced H5 transit proved to be a bit less than stellar, they decided to stick with what they did best (levels, theodolites, and EDM) and so made an arrangement with the legendary Warren Schneider to import a line of transits that would meet Nikons high standards at an affordable price. The TT800 features glass circles (20" scale) with built-in reading magnifiers, which makes angles much easier to read than on similar instruments having conventional metal circles (which utilize a vernier and generally require a hand-held magnifier to decipher). The TT800 has a powerful 30x telescope and of course, an optical plummet. This particular unit is very clean, and looks to have seen very little use. Of course, we have completely serviced and calibrated it in our own repair department..so it's ready to go to work for you! Included is the case, plumb bob, sunshade, dust cover, tool kit, and "box" compass. While the outside of the case is lightly scuffed, the inside is excellent, just like the instrument. I recall these selling for almost $2K at one time.
