RacalDana1992
Up
For sale is a Racal-Dana 1992 Universal nanosecond counter. Military
surplus. Unit powers up, but I could not figure out how to make it
work. This is a very powerful unit, counting frequencies into a very
high range 0-1.3GHZ (see pictures). :SATISFACTION:
Answers to questions
- Does it come with power cord and manual? Yes, it comes with a standard computer style power cord, but without a manual. Tom Gootee sells a manual for it on eBay.
- Can you supply extra pictures? Yes, see them here. I cleaned the cabinet a bit, without removing calibration tags. Sorry for the mess on the desk.
- On the rear panel is an option tag. Is anything stamped on that tag? ANSWER: There are no options listed. Serial number 992784.
- Would you please perform two simple tests to
help me evaluate the electrical +condition of the counter? First, turn
off the unit if it is powered on. Turn on +the unit and it should
display a four (4) digit number. What is the four digit +number?
ANSWER: It displays first number 1992. Then it displays two numbers
8572 and 04.04.
- After the four digit number is displayed please press the "function" buttons up or down until the "check" lamp is lit. What, exactly, does the display indicate? ANSWER: it indicates 10.0000000 and then small 6.
- I also verified that the rear 10MHZ OUTPUT works and produces
output, with my oscilloscope.
- It also has IEEE 488 output.
