For sale is a Peter Wright anvil that is marked 1 0 25. It is stamped PETER WRIGHT MADE IN ENGLAND SOLID WROUGHT.
I bought this anvil a while ago and used for weekend blacksmithing. I never abused it. I cleaned it up after purchase with a wirebrush on an angle grinder. Since I kept it outside, I sprayed it generously with LPS-3 every so often, and after every use, so it has little rust on it (as you can see).
This anvil bears signs of repair with an arc welder, as a small part of faceplate fell off. It was like this when I bought it and that never gave me trouble. In fact, it is hard to notice and I might have omitted this fact and you might never know, but it is not my style. That repair does not detract much from the function or appearance of the anvil.
To those who boycott UK made goods due to their gun ban, I must point out that this anvil was made back when UK was called England and was gun friendly.
Shipping: Local pickup is free, casn only. As it weighs 137 lbs, and has a pointy shape, it will fall out of a shipping box. Therefore, I will ship it WITHOUT any packaging and will slap a label on it. I shipped a few anvils this way and that always worked great. Shipping cost reflects great weight of this anvil and its irregular shape, for which UPS has a special surcharge.
