HUGE 340 lb BLACKSMITH ANVIL,STAND,BASE,CLEAN 550 lbs

For sale is an enormous, 34 inch long blacksmith anvil that weighs 340 lbs by itself. Additionally, it comes with a wooden stand and a cast iron base. The stand and base are factory made to fit this anvil and the whole assembly has a very nice, professional appearance.

The anvil rings great and has a 90% rebound, as measured with a steel bearing ball.

The total weight of the whole thing is about 550 lbs. There is almost no rust at all on the anvil and the original paint is still on it. The construction is a cast steel body (not cast iron) and a tool steel top plate that is either forge welded or cast together with the body. This anvil belonged to the Rock Island Arsenal (military) and is in great shape with only minor signs of use. I paid a fortune for it at some point.
I put this anvil on a little frame with casters for ease of moving around, I welded the frame myself. The anvil is so heavy, already, that being on casters does not screw up the performance of it. That said, the base is removable and I can keep it if you do not want it.
I have acquired a smalled Peter Wright that comes with a bunch of hardie tools, and am letting the big one go for cheap to save space.
