For sale are two round cylinders of what I think is Elkonite. Here's what I know about them: they came from a defunct die shop from their EDM department. Each weighs about 1,448 grams, is about 207mm long and 25.5 mm thick. This works out to density of 13.62 grams per cubic centimeter. This is way more than density of pure copper (8.8 g/cm^3). On the outside, it is silvery in appearance but when ground (I ground off yellowish paint from one end) it is coppery/silvery.
Based on my reading of page http://www.toshiba-tmat.co.jp/eng/list/ta_elc.htm, it seems to be Elconite TC-ED1.
All measurements are APPROXIMATE and were obtained with non-lab grade tools such as digital kitchen scale and a caliper. I cannot fully guarantee that this is indeed Elconite. It could be iguana poop for all I know. Because of this, I offer the following guarantee. If you, within FIVE days of receipt, do not like these bars for ANY reason, you can return them to me for a FULL refund of what you paid. However, you pay return postage, and you must ensure your shipment and pack very safely.
