Coleman4000WGenerator

UpUp

This is an unusual military surplus Coleman Powermate generator because it has a diesel engine. I bought it and kept in the garage for standby power for emergencies. It appears to be quite new and I have not run it for more than an hour total. It is a premium generator because of a very long expected life of the engine (3000 hours, see below).

I bought this generator from at a military auction and used it for standby power, which is to say, it simply sat in my garage. I finally came up with money to buy stationary residential backup standby generator, so, this one will go. It is good for jobsite type work as well as for small standby power, due to its high engine life.

Due to my rotator cuff injury, I replaced recoil starter on it with an adaptor to start it with a cordless drill. It starts quite easily every time. At your request, I can replace the adaptor back with the original recoil start, but even if you would like to keep the adaptor, you'd obviously get the recoil start.

I also placed this genset on casters for ease of moving around.

I would prefer a local pickup. The buyer would be able to inspect the item, start it, load test etc.
