For sale is an Airco SCAMP-C engine driven welder. It was made by Miller Electric and is the same thing as Miller Big D40-G. It has a Continental F-163 engine (same as in many Lincoln SA-200) and it has an all-copper generator for smoother arcs and better performance.
It is capable up to 375 amps of welding current due to all copper windings. The Continental engines are famous for their longevity, ease of maintenance, and parts availability. It was maintained professionally and over its lifetime, had many upgrades and improvements. It was professionally painted (sanded, primed and painted) and looks great. It does not have the rain cap because the guy who used it, kept it inside and ran it in his barn and piped exhaust to the outside. Needless to say, I keep the exhaust covered to prevent water from getting into the engine.
It starts easily, idles quietly like a kitten, and runs strong at full throttle once it warms up.
This welder is both a STICK and MIG welder as it has a CC/CV switch on ther control panel. It is available for a demo, email me to set up an appointment.
It comes with a FOUR WHEEL TRAILER with 3500 lbs axles and hubs and wheels. The axles have NO SPRINGS, so it is a little bumpy when you tow it. Change it to a torflex axle if you plan on routinely towing it for long distances. The trailer has no lights and no brakes. It is, however, very strongly made and I towed it for 50 miles without problems. Title is not required and is not supplied. The hitch is pintle hitch.

While I am not aware of any problems with this welder, you are bidding on a 42 year old machine and, therefore, I cannot be held responsible for any hidden defects or provide any warranty. I will not give any refunds. Buyers are urged to inspect this welder at seller's premises.
