The 148A AM/FM/PM Generator gives you a one instrument source of modulated waveforms. It has two generators: a main function generator, with full function generator versatility, and a modulation generator, a convenient source for modulating and triggering waveforms or a second, independent signal source. 0.002 Hz to 20 MHz at up to 30 V p-p. Accuracy is ±(1% of the setting + 1% of full range) on the center settings and ±(2% of the setting + 2% of full range) for x.01-10 and x10 M.
Testing: This unit has been tested, with my Tektronix 475 oscilloscope. As you can see, it produces various waveforms quite nicely, with what appears to be correct voltages. I have not done any extensive or exhaustive checking so some things perhaps do not work. This unit cost the feds $1,870, you can own it, still in excellent condition, at a fraction of the cost. The army got rid of it because they bought new toys. You can now play with their old stuff. :NIIN: It sells for $995.00 at Tucker Electronics.
This unit takes a standard computer cable and ships without one.
