oscillator ==> avantek

This is a military surplus Avantek YIG tuned oscillator, most likely noncrystal. It appears from just looking at this item casually that you can control frequency with a voltage and modulate another input as well. It is just a guess.

Model: Y036-4318 Frequency: 12-20 GHZ

It appears to have sat on the shelf for a while as a replacement stock. It is supposed to be for F-16 fighter jets, maybe (I am guessing) for their variable frequency radars.

This item cost the feds over $1,300 -- your tax dollars at work.
