For sale is a Sellstrom Electronic Welding Helmet. It has a automatic circuit that darkens it when the arc is struck. To activate it, as I discovered, you need to press a tiny button hidden behind the front plastic cover. That's how it is supposed to work. I did test it and it does work. Note that some amount of plastic that would be below the chin of the user, is broken off. Enlarge the last picture to see that. Besides that, it works fine.
