For sale is Quincy 340 compressor with a 7.5 HP single phase motor. This compressor served me very reliably for years. I have bought a factory building with three phase, and I got a bigger (model 350) 10 HP compressor for the building. I have decided to sell this compressor to someone who needs a single phase machine.
This compressor works very well. It also has two modes: in one (regular) it runs until it reaches preset pressure, and turns off until the pressure falls below that minimum pressure. This is the usual way of running a compressor from Home Depot. It also has a mode where the motor runs continuously, and the unloaders stop the pumping action of the cylinders, while keeping the motor running. This is what you would use for heavy air usage, like sandblasting.
The motor is Marathon, SINGLE PHASE 230v. The head is the legendary Quincy QR-25 pressure lubricated head. Due to pressure lubrication, no metal to metal contact occurs in the head, and, therefore, it does not wear like the cheap heads do.
The only thing that I want to point out is that I mounted the belt guard myself, and I do not quite like the way it is mounted. I would have done it with a beefier option if I redid it now.
Compressor is under power. Accessories, such as air dryer, etc, are NOT included but will be offered separately.
