For sale is a Quincy model 255 Compressor. This is a single stage, 100 PSI, 35 CFM compressor powered by a 7.5 HP motor. I checked this compressor out and am satisfied that it works. Usually in such compressors, at least some unloader membranes need replacement, and in this compressor one of the two membranes needed replacement and I replaced it.
This compressor is particularly useful to people who need a lot of air at medium pressure, as it can pump a lot of air at 100 PSI, a lot more than two stage compressors. It would be ideal for sandblasting and operating all kinds of power tools. You would need a much bigger compressor to get 35 CFM if you required a higher pressure.
This is a very fancy compressor that has a cushion chamber, hydraulic unloaders etc. Due to hydraulic unloaders, it can start up very easily and only starts pumping air when it comes up to speed.
This compressor has a generally clean appearance. I have similar Quincy compressor and I am very happy with mine. You can easily change this compressor over to switch between running on demand, or continuous run, as I did.
You will need to get a pressure switch and a mag starter for this one. I can sell you both, but they are not included.
