This is a Kinney KS-47 Vacuum pump. It has a 2 HP motor that approaches in size and weight my 7.5 HP motor that I have in my phase converter.
This pump is enormous. I can only guess its weight at about 500 lbs. It is on a wheeled cart. It is very slow and relatively quiet. It can pump about 47 CFM, if I understand the label correctly. Its oil reservoir stores several gallons of oil (and has oil in it).
This pump was wired for 480 volts, so I rewired its motor according to the diagram. Since its mag starter has a 480 volt coil, I bypassed it and simply wired the motor to the output of my my rotary phase converter.
