This end mill for a boring head (or whatever it may be) takes inserts that are 1/2" in diameter. They are center cutting. Shank is also 1/2" in diameter. It has markings that are a little hard to read, saying "GWV-12-150-0500-RZ 031.1***-3 WKH MADE IN GERMANY". Inserts have grooves for breaking chips. Included are 11 inserts plus the one in endmill. Also a little wrench.
Despite having dabbled in metalworking, I have no idea whether it is a drill, or a reamer, or for a boring mill. My first guess would be for drilling or reaming.
What you see is what you get (but I keep the Westcott ruler).
