For sale is a HUGE Gear Hob. It is 7 inches tall, 5 inches wide, has a hub diameter of approximately 2 inches.
It says: CPM M4 4262664/G 2287-4192 CL A RH 6.7 NDP STAR CUTTER MADE IN USA LA-1 DEG 52' WD-.3730 20 DEG NPA PRE-S. It is VERY heavy.
I tried, and could not, find any evidence of it having been used, or any chipped teeth or even minor tooth damage. It appears to be new to my untrained eye. Bought at a gear equipment dealer liquidation 2 years ago.
