For sale is a English Pattern Anvil. It has numbers stamped on it, separated by large stamped flowers: 1-0-16. These numbers represent English anvil weight system and suggest that it weighs 128 lbs, which is exactly what it weighs. I surmise that this anvil is very old, was used a lot, mainly survived, and is coming from England or thereabout such as Ireland.
This anvil has a fair amount of rust (shown), a small piece of top tool steel plate broke off (shown), some amount of mushrooming (shown) and is in a well used, but still usable, shape. Besides its use for blacksmithing, it is an interesting historical artifact.
Shipping: Local pickup is FREE. It is UPS shippable and I will ship it WITHOUT any packaging, I will slap a UPS label right on it. Shipping reflects a heavy weight of 130 lbs plus a little extra for "irregular object fee".
