For sale is a DETROIT DIESEL GENERATOR With General Motors 10637305 diesel engine Please! If you are looking to power your home, do NOTbid on this generator, it is a big, super loud, three phase industrial generator. Please save your time and mine and ONLY bid on it if you know what you are doing. I would prefer people who buy and sell and service Detroit engines. 819 hours on the hourmeter. This is a 6-71 detroit diesel (it looks like it to me) It has a turbo It has a 2kW block heater (you may need a 20 amp circuit for it) The generator was working at the time of decommissioning. It was decommissioned because it was TOO LOUD. It belonged to a General Electric plant in Chicago. BATTERIES, battery cables AND MUFFLER ARE *NOT* INCLUDED. It originally came with two 8D batteries (NOT INCLUDED). The generator end is 12-lead reconnectable. The auction listing when I bought it said that it was a 250 kVa generator. Sold AS-IS
