For sale is a system that is a Precision Collimator. It is composed of a appx. 24 inch parabolic mirror in Unertl mount. Also included is a appx. 24 inch Beam Splitter Window Glass, that has a half-mirror surface on one side and another side is transparent. This system has a focal distance of 264 inches. I bought these pieces from a company called Recon Optical, that had these two pieces for testing spy airplane cameras. They sold this equipment because they moved operation to California. Having no understanding of such optics, I thought that both are "optical flats". I even listed them on ebay auction, "sold" for a lot of money to unwitting buyers. However, a gentleman stopped by, who worked there as an optics engineer, and he explained to me what these things are. He said that you could build a precision collimator with them. Of course, I had to undo those transactions, thanks to gentlemanly understanding of those patient winning bidders. Now I am listing them again, together, with corrected explanations. The Unertl mount with mirror was not used all that much and spent a long time in their storage. There is some minor rust on the adjusting screws on the back, however, they all turn smoothly. For shipping, a custom pallet with a crate will be built, with a MANDATORY crating charge of $300, plus whatever it costs to actually ship this.
